I decided to make something simple, because otherwise I never finish anything :/

It's not completely finished; I'll update the download page when it is.

Also, I couldn't be bothered to sprite ships so I got MMF2 to do it for me

Also, about the screenshot: My laptop requires me to press fn+delete to take a screenshot which is almost impossible while playing a game :/

Great music once again But shouldn't the score file be crypted?
I'll rate when it's complete.

I totally dig this little game. Reminds me of the best of the best of the 8-bit NES shoot-em-ups.

And randomly creating each of the ships in the game? Ingenious!

Looking forward to the full version, easyname!

Online highscores added. Need help testing them

It's getting better

It would also be nice imo, if the ship's movement was grid-based just like for the laser beams. I mean that when you release the arrowkeys, it would stop at the next multiple of 4pxls. just saying

Raygun added

Maybe I should stop making such small additions and just release them all at once

Heheh! No, keep 'em coming!

I'll check out your updates this evening.

Enemy shot colour changed, L4 raygun made a bit weaker and switching weapons now just lowers your level by one instead of putting it back to 1 (Is this a good idea? :/)

Yeah that was quite fun. Backgrounds were a little bland and there wasn't a great deal of variety but was good fun dispite this

I just concentrated on getting raygun powerups so i dunno. I don't think the game needs to be any easier personally :]

Agreed, this fun little game is pretty good, which I'll admit was somewhat unexpected. Nice graphics, nice sounds and great music. The whole game is generally really good.
Having to quit the game via only ALT+F4 and its boring background is really its only downfall; difficulty is pretty much fine as it is I think.

Aye, keep the difficulty at the same level. I'm still tickled by all the random factors, from ship appearance to wave pattern. Sometimes you end up with something that looks like a paper airplane, sometimes the Starship Enterprise, sometimes a staple gun...it's a neat twist.

It does turn into somewhat of a grind after a while, but it keeps me at least curious until the end. I can totally sate my shmup appetite with this one.

Nice shmup; the only issue I had was well, denying the game access to the internet causes a multitude of problems. There's no real way to just restart the game at the high score screen (F2 didn't work for me), and it crashed once. Otherwise, love the random generation and how smooth the engine is.
