Emo Skate Phonics, made for the VGNG contest by Black Jaguar!
You find yourself in despair, and goes emo. To boost your emoness, you decide to start skating. Now you perform 360 and grind on poles, and at the same time being sad. You often fall and hurt yourself, but the pain is what's keep you going. Finally the pain becomes to great, and you die in the arms of your new love who decides to take your place... And finally join you in the valley of death!

I guess I just spoiled the game, but who cares. It's short and buggy. Well, the reason is that this was made in two days! I however decided to make a restart button, since you will find yourself stuck many times.
I also didn't know how to get phonics part into the game, hell I don't even know what it is, so please pretend it's not in the title!

Instructions:
On ground: Move with left and right arrow keys
In air or grinding: Rotate with left and right arrow keys

Please take this game with a pinch of salt

Hahaha, quite funny. I liked the crying when you fall off, very quirky! And the soundtrack was clever too

FYI phonics means "the study of how the sounds of words are represented by spelling". Though, I can't figure how to fit that thing into this game...

Falcon: Yeah I googled it when I had made half the game... But I decided not to care about it

Made me laugh.

Small jumps are too hard as you have under a second to align the character.

If you fall down a hole you have to close the application, it just leaves you down the hole.

Hilarious game indeed. Had some very good laughs playing it. The physics/bouncing and doing different tricks were nicely done and the bugs didn't bother me too much. On the flip side, the game was quite short, level design pretty plain and there was too few tricks to perform. AND I had the same problem as Piscesdreams...

there were so many bugs

-the flip counter wouldn't show up after awhile

-the air time counter constantly stayed on my screen and kept adding when I was in the air (my final air time was 170 seconds)

-some of the spikes would disappear when I was the emo girl

-if you held both the left/right arrow keys on a ramp, you would fly off the ramp and not fall down

I like it though

With some more improvements, it could become a good game!
