Theres been so much hype about Halo 2 lately, yet i havent heard a single thing about Metroid Prime 2 which is due to release either November or December.
So what is your thoughts on both games? and what game do you think will be overall better? sales-figures wise Halo 2 will sell way more copies, no doubt being one of the publicity whore that it is.
I myself wasnt a fan of Halo, repetive, no doubt a good game but not a great game.
It was way overrated, id go as far to say as one of the most overrated games of all time.
Metroid Prime however, was a game i hadnt heard much at all, never saw one advertisement of and i remember hearing off a few fellow clickers how it was one of there favourite games, so i thought well i might go and buy it so it will fill the wait till Wind Waker came out, bought it about 2 weeks before WW came out and i played it every day until i got my WW
It turned out to be one of my favourite games of all time, never expected it to be so good. The one thing that let the game down though was multiplayer, but luckily Metroid Prime 2 will have Multiplayer
I think Halo 2 this time around will be a huge improvement over Halo, but im gonna have to go with Metroid Prime 2 being the overall better game, but ill have to see
Those are my thoughts, what are yours about the two games?
i loved Halo, the whole story and such. Im completely unbothered by online gaming, but Co-op is damn good for me so im just looking forward to how the story pans out in Halo 2.
and Metroid Prime 2... MP1 was the 2nd metroid game i played (1st being Metroid Fusion) and i just bought it because it looked good but i was hooked. playing through now for the 3rd time. which is quite a lot for me. but i bloody love it. probably because its the closest ill ever get to playing a 3D Turrican
definately getting both. and Zelda: the Minish Cap
I've been keeping up to date with Echoes, I'll get it on the release date. As for Halo, it's just another FPS; nothing special about it at all--apart from the hype.
Yes, Minish cap does look damn fine. Although i dont have a GBA but ill probably fork out the money to get one just so i can play Zelda: Minish cap
Metroid Prime was the first Metroid inn the series i had ever played, yesterday i download Super Metroid for SNES and its also pretty damn good!
Both will be beaten by Half-Life 2. However, though I have played little of those 2 games (the originals) I would say that out of the 2 metroid will be the more original and genre blurring and Halo will be the better selling. Life isn't fair.
Why the hell am I on the computer at 1 in the morning? No, don't answer.
Halo 2 will sell more because of the larger user base on the X-Box and Micro$oft's huge marketing budget, I think Nintendo are nearly as bad as Sega at doing ad campaigns which was one of the main reasons behind Sega's demise.
I agree with Crystal Clear that Halo was a load of overrated crap. The Graphics were nothing special and the frame rate was jerky, no innovations gameplay-wise and boring missions. Metroid Prime on the other hand looked silky-smooth and had more challenging gameplay and puzzles.

Halo 2 is going to kick some major ass! The multiplayer is going to be ultimate. You can play with 4-people on the same xbox on xbox live, with up to 16 players. Does anybody else have xbox live here? Because it is truely one of the funniest things around, the headset is like having people right next to you on a LAN and everyone is just so funny.
If I remember correct Zelda's Ocarina of Time was the most selling game of all time(not completly positive about that). But anyways more people will buy Halo probably, because it's the only good game for Xbox so everyone with Xbox will get it of course. I'd also like to say that Metroid Prime is the only game that I know of that's graphics where the same if not better than it's short little movie clips on it. As well as Metroid Prime was rated number one in the greatest graphics of all time on many top 10 thingies. Though games like Splinter Cell have great graphics, I think Metroid Prime brought new elevations in gaming. That even now havent realy been matched. Halo's story is good, but Metroids is just as good as well as your talking about a story thats been going on for a long time. If it was'nt good I doubt Nintendo would still be making Metroid games.
