I'm new to Multimedia Fusion (Although I do have experience in other makers) & would like to know which type of game is best to make as my first game? A platformer or a scrolling shooter?
Oh & yeah I should probably introduce myself, my name is Rezza & I'm an old friend of Leric's (Actually I'm using his PC right now & he's the one who told me about this site in the first place, he also said that he barely ever posts here even though he comes here to download games on a daily bases so you all may not know him).
I would just start to make something simple. try using the platform movement to make a simple platformer, if you know someone in persion that knows how to code, then be his best friend and make him help you
Both a platformer and shooter should be fairly easy to make. Once you have some experience in the program, I suggest coding your own engine.
One problem with MMF is that if you make a game with so or so many levels, then decide to modify the engine, you have to change it in EVERY single level. That's why it's a good idea to get the engine done first thing.
So, make a crap first game, release it to the crapware community, then continue on your second... It should be not yet perfect, but less crap.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
Btw that last Leric post was me Rezza but since I'm using AOL now (I was using Mozilla Fire Fox at first) I mistakenly posted as Leric (you know auto log in).
But what if it's a good breakout game? Then can I post it here?
EDIT: Damn fucking AOL keeps auto logging in as Leric from now on I'm just gonna use Mozilla (I only wanted to use AO because it has all my ooooolllldddd favorites).
Well I didn't like the first game (I didn't play the second game since it seemed to be a homo basher...literally).
First off there wasn't any music & the only sound effecs were weird bings & stuff. Also the ball went threw the blocks sometimes when you hit them & it all seems way to slow & there's not really anything original added to make it stand out. Also you spelled level wrong.
Oh & why does that special menu need to load so long? Did you actually just do it yourself with a counter or is it actually loading.
If this is the best breakout game there is then I'm pretty sure I can make a better one (um...no offense Nuklear). So I'll consider making one of the platformer idea becomes to hard for me.
