Here's the virtual console controller for Wii:
http://gearmedia.ign.com/gear/image/article/707/707508/e3-2006-hands-on-with-the-wii-virtural-console-controller-20060510065246373.jpg
I have a feeling I'm gonna use it a lot.
What I really like with the Wii is that the virtual console will not just be a platform for playing old classics, but also a platform for small game developers "with more ideas than resources", I think Iwata put it (or it was someone else, but still). That's a really nice philosophy, and it seems promising for us old school gamers. Maybe we'll see some brand new "SNES"-classics come to life.

I was kinda hoping you could just use the remote thingy to play old games, but I guess it doesn't have enough buttons...

Being able to play SSB: Brawl online is a good enough reason to buy the Wii for me... and that means I can wait until 2007 to see if the console is a hit.
When it comes to the 360 and PS3, I think PS3 will sell most. They always do, since they will probably, as always, get the most titles (even though many are playable at best). I don't think I'll buy any of them. though... I'll get a computer that outperformes them both soon, anyway. And performance is what PS3 and 360 is all about.

Not much else at E3 this year except for Spore, which sounds totally awsome!
The Wii is aimed to reach people who aren't serious video gamers, like the DS and Brain Age. Nintendo is really the only innovator in the market, they have new technology's at a low price, Sony and Microsoft are just cramming as much power as they can into a little system. I mean, games made with MMF take very little CPU power, but I still have fun with them. Nintendo is 3rd place in the "Console Wars", although I don't know how long that'll last...

For NES, you can just turn the controller over and use the D-pad and the two buttons. And yeah, they'd have to really cram the controller with buttons to have it support the other systems. At least it's cool they have one controller for all virtual console games (I mean, so you don't have to get some N64 controller to be able to play Zelda64 or whatever). Seems like a nice controller, too. Classic style.

I've been waiting for a nintendo controller like that forever. It's the best gamepad (SNES, IMO) with two analog sticks. Perfect for FPS's, unlike the GC controller.

Every time I go to E3 I get hounded by booth babes who want to ride my Toblerone. I say "Bitch, please," but they're all, like, "I need your babies!" Sometimes it is hard to be such a straight-up pimp. Sometimes you get chlamydia. But every once in awhile, everything comes together just right and you end up both stylin' *and* profilin'.

I agree. The SNES controller is great. Good, logical placement of just enough buttons. I hate many of the new controllers like the XBox one. It's ergonomic and all, but it's crammed with buttons and they're placed badly.

That would make it not ergonomic then.

To be honest, the Type S XBox controller isn't that bad, though those damnedable black and white buttons are still hard to hit (Especially for me with my big hands).
The X360 controllers are damned fine though. I'd buy one for my PC if it didn't require me to use XP.
