In this thread I expect everyone to list a game they find truly epic.
The rules are simple. The game must be worthy of being in the list. That means don't just say a random game, but one that is deserving of the title "Epic". For example, a game that was stupidly difficult to beat, or an over the top storyline, or first game to take a big technological leap forward etc. Anything like that. I guess we could be a little lenient though.
I'll start us off with... Donkey Kong Country 2 on the Super Nintendo. This game was, like others in the series, very challenging and with it's "extra" boss after 100% completion, I'd say it's well deserving of being in this list.

Counter-Strike. All these years and people are still preferring it over other FPSes. It's got a hell lot of flaws and not nearly as many features as most modern FPSes, but it's still the most fun. Probably because it relies on both your reflexes and tactics but keeps it simple
