Just posting cos I wondered what everyone likes on the telly? I like most comedies like The Office, The Royle Family and Men Behaving Badly. I really hate GMTV and all those crappy daytime shows like The Richard and Judy Show (although I think it not got them on it any more). American TV programmes are quite cool, like the Simpsons. But the sport coverage stinks.
From the past, my favourite programme was Knightmare (as you might be able to tell from my avatar). Sadly that was cancelled <¦-( - nowadays The Simpsons is usually good, though.
And I hate all reality TV with a vengeance - especially as the dreaded Big Brother series has started once again.
Buffy, Angel, 2dtv, Futurama, Simpsons (season2), and quite a few comedies (Red Dwarf included), I used to like ally Mcbiel and I watch ER, oh I also like Startrek...IM INSANE

is this to say that no one here likes 24? i think its amazing.
other faves are simpsons, the office, etc.
but i HATE the fresh prince of bel air. to quote from my TV mag: "All I hear is constant fat jokes, the tall one making short jokes, the short one dancing, the butler being snooty and the teenager learning a moral at the end. All this in favour of a Simpsons double bill?" And what a point. Bring on more simpsons!
I like shows like Buffy, Angel, Smallville etc with a fantasy theme. They're fun.
But 24 is my favourite. Go Jack Bauer! Shoot those terrorists!
Simpsons are good, but they should have stopped about 4 years ago. The new episodes are rarely any good. Classic simpsons involving Homer wearing a paper bag because he misplaced his pants. Now thats good.

I used to love the Simpsons but because practically I already saw all the episodes, and because the new season hasn't started yet here in Mexico, I got bored of it. Currently my favorite show is Invader Zim. Too bad Nickelodeon cancelled it.
Buffy, Angel, South Park, Family Guy, Jackass, Tom Green, League of Gentlemen, Red Dwarf, Vids. But sadly, most of these aren't on UK Terestrial TV at the moment.
But you know what? warning - swearing session coming up I fuckin hate this fuckin Big Brother bollocks and everything deemed "Reality TV." They churn out shite where people are monitored 24/7 and it's supposed to be entertainment? I can imagine the pitch for Big Brother -
Producer "I got an idea for a new show: A bunch of nobodies sit in a house."
Head of C4 "And what else?"
Producer "And we film them. That's it."
Head of C4 "I like it. Here's £100 Million, go and build a house and fill it with cameras so we can film them even while they're sleeping and taking a crap."
The same with that stupid celebrities in the jungle thing. I always hated the concept, then I found out the celebrities are fuckin getting paid for it too. It's all bollocks. There are so many stupid programs like that now too it's beyond a joke. They made a reality show about a Salon, called The Salon. They made a reality show about a club, called The Club. What's next? The Brothel? I can see that coming soon on Channel Five.
Whatever country came up with the Big Brother idea should be nuked and forgotten about. And if that happens to be us Brits, then all the better.
For comedies/sitcoms, the best in the UK were Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Father Ted... most of the modern ones are awful, relying on stupid "surrealism" or something like that, but there are a couple of good ones. Well, one - Black Books. That's definitely up to the standards of the previous ones I mentioned... they'd better do a third series.

Seinfeld was IMO the best sitcom ever made...even though it was about nothing!
Fawlty towers! Hahaha I loved that...i've actually got the entire box set on DVD, not many of them...but sooo painfully funny! BASIL!!! Coming dear!
And as for Aussie stuff...can't go past WHAT THE..?, the Logie winning Rove Live.
And while i'm there, The Panel is a decent show...informative in a funny pseudo-interlectual way.
Oooooo who could forget Malcolm in the Middle...barely get to see it these days with uni and all, but just crazy family comedy at it's funniest!

How many people who said they hated Big Brother, and said it should be 'nuked' we're female?
I've talked to loads of girls about Big Brother, and they all like it. Girls love to watch nobodies talk about nothing all day. My mates' sister even watched the 24-hour live coverage of I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! (aka I'm a publicity-crazed monk - get me on TV) on ITV2, while the Simpsons and Stargate SG 1 was on. What a travesty!!!
Also, did any one see Velvet Soup? I could talk about it for hours, but I'll sum it up in 1 word.

IMHO, Futurama & Simpsons. I've hardly missed an episode of either of em. Heck, two of the local TV chans show Futurama on the same day. Simpsons is still as good as it used to be, at least the very latest episodes are. The one a season or two ago (around the start of Futurama) wasn't very good.
CSI comes in pretty close as well as Smallville. Lately both of em are turning overdramatic. CSI at least has some intelligent stuff along with the 'personal cases' but Smallville is starting to get stuffed with cheesy dialogues. But I guess Superman is supposed to be the lamest hero in the history of superheroism, after all...
Buffy's also pretty good except for the fact that the real interesting stuff only happens about 20 minutes in the hour. They just stuffed most of it full of boring conversation. I haven't really watched Angel coz of the horrible vampire/demon makeup job. Too lazy to.

Futurama is the best tv program ever. I mean Bender is the greatest character ever plus the others are great, Fry, Zap Brannigan Dr.Zoidberg. Cancelling it after 4 series is crazy but at least this means i wont get fed up with it like the simpsons (on its 17th i think)

2 years on and I still like 24, and it looks like I've learnt how to spell as well. Recently I've been downloa watching Scrubs a lot and loving it. I don't watch TV that much any more because it's mostly shit. Even the Simpsons.
I really think i have an invaderzim addiction..., I have spent over 25 hours doing invaderzim in 3d and I am working with a fan animated series which looks promising once we get an actor for zim. If you can do a good invaderzim voice then mail me plz.
I only saw 24 like one time, so not sure if its good or not. I do however hate all reality TV shows, lol, they're so retarded and random. A good example is Nanny 911, the reason: who careS? Who else hates reality tv shows, maybe not all, but any.
I also like Battle Star, the second season is starting up this month, so thats something to be looking forward to. I really enjoyed the first season & the mini-series. Not sure if anyone else is into the show, but I like it.
