"Anyone ever notice all the good RPG type games are on PS/PS2? The Star Oceans, Final Fantasies, and even Saga Frontier was fun(though it lacked a storyline...any storyline. How'd they pull off an RPG with no storyline!?)"

Ever heard of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals? Obviously you haven't.
How about good RPGs like Wind Waker or Phantasy Star Online? albeit PSO isnt origional but still, it has pulled a large majority of people into gamecube online. (However limited it is)

Try doing some research before you start playing 'mr facts'.

"Nintendo just have to have more games that appeal to teenagers, well the majority of teenagers (There are some disgraceful nerds). Throw in guns and stuff. More of it."

You obviously haven't been paying attention to Gamecube's games. Does the word 3rd Party ring a bell? By the way, guns dont make a game. Would you play Enter the Matrix if there was just guns and no kung-fu or focus?

"why do certain people either love sega and hate nintendo or hate nintendo and love sega? personally i buy games if i like them for whatever console or my pc if its cheaper (which it usually is)."

PCs are cheaper then consoles? I think you have got a little confused

Why would anyone want to get a PS2? They are more expensive, are older, run more slowly, graphics are worse and it has some of the worst loading times. Ok so it can play DVDs, big whoop, most people have other dvd players anyway.

Well, thats my rant for the day. Feel free to comment

Xbox looks alright. I've never played on one, but the ideas seem good. More expensive, but online, good graphics. High Voltage could work well on Xbox methinks...

Alex, I wasn't playing "mr.facts", just stating an oppinion, though clearly you are playing mr.facts.
1) Still don't think they compare to the Star Oceans. Though after FF7 the final fantasies kinda lost it.
2) How many times will you play mario party? Nope, give em fightning atleast, and maybe some magic or something, and a storyline....Hey, RPG!
3) He didn't say PC's are cheaper than consoles, he said PC Games are cheaper than Console Games, which is true.(unless you're being ripped off )
4) *shrugs* XBox is the fastest, but what would you expect from microsoft?

I bought all of the console systems in my house. I bought the PS2 and GameCube for generally anyone, and I bought the X-Box for my younger brother's birthday. I have never touched the X-Box at all, even though I bought some random games for my brother.

Could you give me some examples of "good games" on the X-Box that would entertain me that are not the following...

A. Sports games

B. Racing Games

C. Military Simulation Games

D. HALO

E. Grand Theft Auto

But are one of the following..

A. An RPG

B. Adventure game

C. Platformer

I have a friend who's got X-Box. Yeah, X-Box's ok.
Platform game? How 'bout Blix: Time Sweeper?
And Munch's Odyssey is kinda fun.
But I dunno if you'll like 'em.

But what is the best console?
Playstation 2:
Lots of good(and bad)games, online play, Eyetoy, the works.

Gamecube:
It's cute! Oh, look at the cute little console! Better graphics then PS2, you can use a GBA to do some stuff, you can use it in a car(Buy a Monitor), It's dosen't make any noise, but you can't play DVD's/music on it...

X-Box:
Best graphics of the consoles, online-play... yeah.

So, I dunno. I don't really think any of them are better than the others.

I think the Mario games are ok. And Metroid: Prime kicks ass! I hear the're making a sequel. Can't wait!
Too bad Microsoft "stole" Rare. *shakes fist at the evil Microsoft* But they still make games for the GBA.

The content above makes absolutely no sense. But I guess you've already figured that out.

Gir, do dat funky dance!

You never heared of the Star Ocean's!? Oh my god, I'm going to kill myself!

Yes, Morrowind/Mario RPG's were fun too...and Mario can be quite hillarious in parts, but the Star Ocean's had great storylines. Truthfully, Start Ocean 2 held me better than Morrowind, even though Morrowind had better graphics(and came out later). The one major thing I liked about Star Ocean 2 was you can become invincible. No more getting killed by that ladybug because you have 1 health!

Edit: The other thing I liked about it was there was always harder monsters, and no level cap. No feeling like a god for you, just go here and you'll be slaughtered even though you're level 220.

Oh wow, Just because a console has the eyetoy that makes it number one?!

Gamecube looks better then a stupid black box that looks like the back end of a PC.

How many of you have more then one DVD player? Would you care if your microwave could play DVDs if everything else could too?! Unless you're too lazy to put a disk in the PC, because its too far away or something...

PS2 Loading times are shit

Comparing DBZ Budokai

PS2- Takes 30 seconds
Gamecube- Takes about 5 seconds, if that!

Also Nintendo only games such as Mario Kart Double Dash. THERE IS NO LOADING TIME WHATSOEVER!!!

Or if there is, it's very well hidden. so there

All I can say is Final Fantasy 7 is the most amazing and social-life absorbing game which has ever been released. It is an absolute classic and a game I'd rate as definately in the top 5 best games created EVER.

I just think that nintendo is sort of slacking off...They only make games for really young kids. I think that Nintendo is falling; they're becoming obsolete. I liked the times when Nintendo just made 2D games, and when Sega made their own consoles. And Gamecube's sales are going down. They've decreased the price. They're dying a slow, painful death.

PCs around here are just about the same price as a console. You can get a nice one with a nice Geforce 4 for about the same price as a PS2. Sure, there's stuff cheaper than the PS2, but it's either the PS1 or some crappy homemade console about as powerful as the original Nintendo. Of course, if you want a cheap PC, you gotta make one yourself.

Personally, yeah, I've noticed that Nintendo's run out of ideas. The GC is a nice console, but with a few emulators, my PC could play any game released on any console that uses a DVD or CD. Heck, the PC version of 90% of games are often far better than the console version. End of console argument.

Mario Kart was fun, though. But I never really liked the olde SNES Zelda games.
