I used to love nintendo's games, but now I have lost all respect for them. They're games now suck biiiig time. They keep pumping out Mario games (Mario 1: Save the Princess, Mario 2: I have no clue, Mario 3: Save the Princess: Mario World, Mario 64, save the princess! !) And now they have mario sunshine, where you have to clean! And I walked into a gaming store...You know what I discovered? Barbie video games...and the horror...THREE STOOGES: THE VIDEO GAME! God help us! Post your opinon about Nintendo. >_<
Fine Garbage since 2003.

I think Nintendo's out of ideas. Now they're just randomly making things in their struggle to make something new. Obviously their efforts aren't working.
Umh... the barbie games arn't made by Nintendo...
But what 'bout the Zelda games? They're good! And Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart: DD!!, and you know... they still make good games, you know. But it's enough of those Mario Party games, now.
The content above makes absolutely no sense. But I guess you've already figured that out.
I'm all for Super Smash Bros Melee! Mario Kart Double Dash was pointless and not worth the extra money over Mario Kart 64, in my opinion. (What's the point in having a two man kart again?)
But Nintendo's been losing it in game quality since they hit it with Nintendo 64 and their game designers started dropping out to Playstation. For the 98% most part Nintendo wants to keep their games clean for children under the age of 10, therefore you see lots of very bad kiddy games.
They have also been losing it with their mascot Mario and his games. People all around the world have been getting disappointed with how they have lost the basic classic gameplay of the Mario series where as you run around in a platform game, collect power ups, and smach bad guys. Luckily Nintendo says that their next big Mario game will be back to classic game play style. I really hope.
Nintendo is the best "computer game" company that has ever existed. Creators of the best console ever (Super Nintendo that is). Which allowed my young mind to be warped by awesome titles such as Secret Of Mana, Breath Of Fire and Zelda... All games which have more replayability originality than these 3D games.
Viddy A ClockWork Orange, Droogs...

why do certain people either love sega and hate nintendo or hate nintendo and love sega?
personally i buy games if i like them for whatever console or my pc if its cheaper (which it usually is).
im not going to be turned off my gamecube or playstation 2 simply because the latest games arent 100% perfect.
and games are just as good as they have always been, but perhaps gamers are more sophisticated nowadays than back in the 2d era where it was easier to shock someone with well put together pieces of software.
Nintendo just have to have more games that appeal to teenagers, well the majority of teenagers (There are some disgraceful nerds). Throw in guns and stuff. More of it.

actually 3 Stoogies and barbie and barney and all that crap can be found on any system.
But the only thing Nintendo did wrong was forgetting online play. 2 games! Just two online games! What were they thinking?
LMAO, Nintendo is still kicking ass in the gaming buisness, and will be for a long time now!
they have created some of biggest games ever seen, other companies just bought it off them. Nintendo is still continuing some of there biggest series such as Zelda, Mario, Metroid. i dont think there getting "old", Nintendo has just started pulling out the good games, wait till the end of this year, X-box and Playstation 2 are gonna be screwed when Metroid Prime 2 and Zelda WW 2 comes out.
Mario Party was fun. 2 was fun aswell, but after that it got repetative.
Anyone ever notice all the good RPG type games are on PS/PS2? The Star Oceans, Final Fantasies, and even Saga Frontier was fun(though it lacked a storyline...any storyline. How'd they pull off an RPG with no storyline!?)
"Anyone ever notice all the good RPG type games are on PS/PS2? The Star Oceans, Final Fantasies, and even Saga Frontier was fun(though it lacked a storyline...any storyline. How'd they pull off an RPG with no storyline!?)"
Ever heard of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals? Obviously you haven't.
How about good RPGs like Wind Waker or Phantasy Star Online? albeit PSO isnt origional but still, it has pulled a large majority of people into gamecube online. (However limited it is)
Try doing some research before you start playing 'mr facts'.
"Nintendo just have to have more games that appeal to teenagers, well the majority of teenagers (There are some disgraceful nerds). Throw in guns and stuff. More of it."
You obviously haven't been paying attention to Gamecube's games. Does the word 3rd Party ring a bell? By the way, guns dont make a game. Would you play Enter the Matrix if there was just guns and no kung-fu or focus?
"why do certain people either love sega and hate nintendo or hate nintendo and love sega? personally i buy games if i like them for whatever console or my pc if its cheaper (which it usually is)."
PCs are cheaper then consoles? I think you have got a little confused
Why would anyone want to get a PS2? They are more expensive, are older, run more slowly, graphics are worse and it has some of the worst loading times. Ok so it can play DVDs, big whoop, most people have other dvd players anyway.
Well, thats my rant for the day. Feel free to comment
Xbox looks alright. I've never played on one, but the ideas seem good. More expensive, but online, good graphics. High Voltage could work well on Xbox methinks...
Alex, I wasn't playing "mr.facts", just stating an oppinion, though clearly you are playing mr.facts.
1) Still don't think they compare to the Star Oceans. Though after FF7 the final fantasies kinda lost it.
2) How many times will you play mario party? Nope, give em fightning atleast, and maybe some magic or something, and a storyline....Hey, RPG!
3) He didn't say PC's are cheaper than consoles, he said PC Games are cheaper than Console Games, which is true.(unless you're being ripped off )
4) *shrugs* XBox is the fastest, but what would you expect from microsoft?
I bought all of the console systems in my house. I bought the PS2 and GameCube for generally anyone, and I bought the X-Box for my younger brother's birthday. I have never touched the X-Box at all, even though I bought some random games for my brother.
Could you give me some examples of "good games" on the X-Box that would entertain me that are not the following...
I have a friend who's got X-Box. Yeah, X-Box's ok.
Platform game? How 'bout Blix: Time Sweeper?
And Munch's Odyssey is kinda fun.
But I dunno if you'll like 'em.
But what is the best console?
Playstation 2:
Lots of good(and bad)games, online play, Eyetoy, the works.
Gamecube:
It's cute! Oh, look at the cute little console! Better graphics then PS2, you can use a GBA to do some stuff, you can use it in a car(Buy a Monitor), It's dosen't make any noise, but you can't play DVD's/music on it...
X-Box:
Best graphics of the consoles, online-play... yeah.
So, I dunno. I don't really think any of them are better than the others.
I think the Mario games are ok. And Metroid: Prime kicks ass! I hear the're making a sequel. Can't wait!
Too bad Microsoft "stole" Rare. *shakes fist at the evil Microsoft* But they still make games for the GBA.
The content above makes absolutely no sense. But I guess you've already figured that out.
You never heared of the Star Ocean's!? Oh my god, I'm going to kill myself!
Yes, Morrowind/Mario RPG's were fun too...and Mario can be quite hillarious in parts, but the Star Ocean's had great storylines. Truthfully, Start Ocean 2 held me better than Morrowind, even though Morrowind had better graphics(and came out later). The one major thing I liked about Star Ocean 2 was you can become invincible. No more getting killed by that ladybug because you have 1 health!
Edit: The other thing I liked about it was there was always harder monsters, and no level cap. No feeling like a god for you, just go here and you'll be slaughtered even though you're level 220.
Oh wow, Just because a console has the eyetoy that makes it number one?!
Gamecube looks better then a stupid black box that looks like the back end of a PC.
How many of you have more then one DVD player? Would you care if your microwave could play DVDs if everything else could too?! Unless you're too lazy to put a disk in the PC, because its too far away or something...
PS2 Loading times are shit
Comparing DBZ Budokai
PS2- Takes 30 seconds
Gamecube- Takes about 5 seconds, if that!
Also Nintendo only games such as Mario Kart Double Dash. THERE IS NO LOADING TIME WHATSOEVER!!!
All I can say is Final Fantasy 7 is the most amazing and social-life absorbing game which has ever been released. It is an absolute classic and a game I'd rate as definately in the top 5 best games created EVER.
Viddy A ClockWork Orange, Droogs...
Goddamn you to hell 'Newbie' DC Rating... Go up, UP DAMN YOU!
I just think that nintendo is sort of slacking off...They only make games for really young kids. I think that Nintendo is falling; they're becoming obsolete. I liked the times when Nintendo just made 2D games, and when Sega made their own consoles. And Gamecube's sales are going down. They've decreased the price. They're dying a slow, painful death.
Fine Garbage since 2003.

PCs around here are just about the same price as a console. You can get a nice one with a nice Geforce 4 for about the same price as a PS2. Sure, there's stuff cheaper than the PS2, but it's either the PS1 or some crappy homemade console about as powerful as the original Nintendo. Of course, if you want a cheap PC, you gotta make one yourself.
Personally, yeah, I've noticed that Nintendo's run out of ideas. The GC is a nice console, but with a few emulators, my PC could play any game released on any console that uses a DVD or CD. Heck, the PC version of 90% of games are often far better than the console version. End of console argument.
Mario Kart was fun, though. But I never really liked the olde SNES Zelda games.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
also, whats thhis about GC not having a DVD player that makes it not as good as the others? WTF, its a gaming console not a friggin home entertainment system.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
Hey, im all for Nintendo.
Metroid prime = not kiddie
Resident evil 4 = not kiddie
GEIST (check it out) = no where near kiddie
Animal Crossing = definatel kiddie, but one of the most addictive and fun games in history
The release of good Gamecube games is goina bit slow atm but, this year Metroid Prime 2, RE4, Geist and hopefully SSBM 2 and AC 2 will be released, oh and Starfox 2
Lol @ Me
No, there's nothing wrong with "kiddie" games.
And GEIST looks kinda cool. BOH!
But there are some cool games that's not coming to GC...
Like Psi Ops. That looks awsome!
Check out Midway's site: www.midway.com
Too bad it's not available on GC.
The content above makes absolutely no sense. But I guess you've already figured that out.
Each console is as good as each other, they each have their own good and bad points so there is no point fighting over which is best, cause you'll never win..
But I have to say this to Nintendo owners, change the fricking tune will you, all you ever do is go on and on about Metroid and Zelda, and how you guys are still surviving..
Well you're not, have you taken a look inside a game shop lately? The Gamecube is slowly going the same way the Dreamcast and N64 went.. Down the pan, so stop making excuses and accept the truth.
I have nothing against Nintendo, I mean the Snes made gaming what it is today, but what I said above is true, and I just wish Nintendo owners would admit it.
Pok, would you please give me some information regarding Super Smash Bros Melee 2? I haven't seen it posted anywhere else (On IGN in particular)
Actually, I just looked through the preview area and didn't see anything regarding SSBM2, let alone Metroid Prime 2 or Wind Waker 2. I even preformed normal searched through IGN on it. There must be some other site you look through that provides this information.
The next Zelda game is going to be modelled after the Four Swords for GBA on GameCube. That is, 2-D multiplayer challanges. But here's the catch - Though it may look like Zelda: A Link to the Past, it does not function like normal 2D top over Zelda games. It's a level-by-level game.
mario kart double dash sucked big time!
mario kart 64 had the best graphics, courses and multiplayer games.I think nintendo also released the gameboy player to cheat in making games for the gamecube.Nintendo needs to get off the gameboy project and pay more attention to gamecube.
"But I have to say this to Nintendo owners, change the fricking tune will you, all you ever do is go on and on about Metroid and Zelda, and how you guys are still surviving.." thats really ironic, coming from the person who made a Zelda Fan Game
as Simen said, Thank You, and good night.
did anyone know that a couple of years ago, nintendo gave up rare to microsoft? i know a lot of people ought to know this but there are some clueless people here at dc...
Well explain to the world how Nintendo is "cheating" in producing games and profit with the gameboy player adaptor? For one thing, they barely advertise it at all. For another thing, hey, a lot of players don't like staring at a little screen when playing some fungames when they're at home rather than out on the road. It also saves the back/neck cramps. In addition, it also provides a port to those who do not own a GameBoy of any sort and want to play said game (not to mention it's a tad bit cheaper than a Gameboy). It is the fault of Microsoft and Sony for not thinking up a hand held gaming device like the Gameboy to pull in more money that would actually be successful. I think the PlayStation had a hand held GameBoy type of thing, but it was much more like a DigiPet than a Gameboy. Plus not many game designers put in ideas to support it.
Considering this post started biased as all hell, I'll say this.
Nintendo has been in the industry longer than any other current competitor, they have always shown the desire to do new things and forge new paths. Some of these are good, some bad. While as of late they are hurting for titles for the GC, the gameboys sales alone could keep them afloat for a while. Bottom line, they ain't goin' anywhere, Nintendo is a damned stubborn company and they will be around for a long while.
Jon i must disagree, the Xflop is not as good as you make out. My freind had one when it came out and all of us went to play the ALMIGHTY Halo co-op. I found it boring, the frame rate was pathetic and texture sizes was minsicule. My freind then tried to show me bump mapping shadowing in halo, as if i am supposed to be impressesed when its emplemented on something that looks like a 64x64 texture. I am not impressed by the xbox at all, sorry mate as i know you like the xbox .
I like my gamecube the games are fun, the graphics are good (ie framerates above 15-20) and i prefer its controllers, it MAY be flopping in the EU but in the states and Japan its sales opunmber the xbox.
Childish? I am the one who looked at the xbox with an open mind originally (and it didnt impress me one iota), as you OBVIOUSLY did with the gamecube with your above posts, but anyway. im big enough at 6 foot 3 .
Look Jon i dont want to fall out with you, as you are safe geez, but if you can give me one good reason (not its hardware, its software) to buy an xbox i will. My mate tried ramming splinter cell down my throat (not literally) when it was xbox only, i have got it for the PC and find it utterly boring.
Not one game on the box i find fun, sorry but thats just my opinion, and all these yuppies at uni that say you must get an x-box becuase you can hack it and make it like a PC!, i tell them "What the hell for? ive got a PC with at least double the power (ie the xbox's lame p3 733 Mhz processor) if i want to use a pc!".
PS the gamecube has 500 mhz processor but has much better architecture (and a ATi graphics card who are THE best imho ) than old P3 stuff (133 mhz!! fsb bus!), and professor's of PC architecture reckon the GC might have the same power (if not more) thean the xbox.
In a decent computing magazine (not one for yuppies, that tell them what they want to hear) the xbox and PS2 went through extremely unfair bench marking, they ran them with no textures, half the res of the gc and no lighting/FSAA. No wonder it can do many polygons, if the bechmark is at 320x240!!! and no effects.
To prove the point of the bull excrement put in most magazines, My pc can do about 6 - 8 million polygons smoothly with lighting effects etc at 1024x768 (1.4 gig athlon real speed, 512 ddr, 128 mb radeon 9000 pro), the xbox can do 25 million (the figure qouted at currys when it came out) with a slower bus and older a architecture processor at 733 Mhz.
Me thinks the becnhmarkings a bit iffy, the GC's 6 mill sounds reasonable.
What do i smell? Bull exrement. (if you dont belive me run some bechmarking software on your own pc!, there is NO way the xbox can do that)
i bet most of you dont know that nintendo invented pretty much everything that is assosiated with consoles. they invented;
Carts, D-Pads, shoulder buttons, analogue, vibration... try playing a PS2 or Xbox without them. cant be done. also its because of Nintendo that Sony are making consoles, its all about the SnesCD system, ninty went to Phillips and Sony to produce a CD add on for the snes but Sony just said bye to Ninty and stole (well not steal, just took) the concept of a CD based console... after the AmigaCD that is.
Im not a 100% nintendo devotee, i love my Xbox too. simply for Halo which is so much better on the Xbox BTW (co-op is one of the most addictive features) and that you can have 16 player (local) deathmatches with 4 xboxs instead of 16 PC's. But the other main thing about xbox is the illegal side. I got mine chipped but not for copying games, but for putting on a new Dashboard and throwing in some emulators and ROMs.
anywho, Mario is classic there is absolutely no doubt of that, Zelda will continue to be unique (tho Windwaker should have been much better) and Metroid is just one of my fave series of all time. all my opinion mind you.
The PS2 simply isnt original. PS1 maybe, but the 2 is just a direct copy of 1 but with hardware upgrades, hell the controller is 90% identical to the PS1 version! Sony need to employ some fresh minded originality chief person and stop copying the crowd.
Mario Kart is overrated but still an excellent multiplayer. Metroid Prime is the best game of all time. Mario Sunshine was fun, as was Windwaker. F-Zero GX is the daddy of racers. Gamers are forgetting that games should be fun. whats the point in playing a boring game where you select moves through menus or spend all evening sneaking around some guards... but still, its just my opinion.
I have only a NES and three computers. Lol. But still, Nintendo will rule the gaming empire from 2004 perhaps to year 3000! And my NES doesn't work if i dont put a wireless NES controller to its "hole" where i must put my old Super Mario Bros. 3 too...

anyways my fave console will probably always be GBA cuz ive grown up addicted to 2D and its never changed. Sony are releasing this PSP device but its not going anywhere. one of the best selling games of all time is Pokemon and what system is that on? the DS has a weird concept and only time will tell what happens to it, hopefully not another Virtual Boy HA!
oh and one last thing; what has been the longest running and most selling console of all time? the humble gameboy! which has destroyed everything which has stood in its way... its like some evil killing machine... or something.
Nintendo has always had a place in my heart, I've owned pretty much every commerical console that they have released over here, the Nes, Snes, N64 and the Cube, and just about every type of GameBoy they've done too, but as I said, I have no typical favourite, reason being is because they all have their own good and bad sides, and anyway I play them just to chill out, not to prove which is better.
And Hagar, ignore what I said earlier, I was in a bad mood and felt like taking it out on someone (No suprise there)- lol.
------------------------
Edit: Oh and Hagar, I don't really give a damn about the specs of the machine, because to me that really does not matter.
Just read what i ranted about earlier and i have been a bugger lol, sorry about what ive said jon too, ive been 'annoyed' lately with more assignments than you can point a large number of assignments pointing device at, and a bloody exam tomorrow i dont have a bloody clue about! .
Ive got to admit, battle mode on the basic levels sucks in Mario Kart DD and many, and Sunshine is too short, but even though bllosy hard to get those shines . I cant help it, im too oldskool i want it too be just Sega And Nintendo .
You see the year was 1994 and i was local Mario Kart Champion, and currently im local Mario Kart champion again and very very drunk...zzz.zzz.ZZZ.zzz.ZzZ.zzz.
Funny that Rare left when they were going down the pan. Goldeneye was a true classic but Perfect Dark was overhyped. then came Jet Force Gemini which I loved at the time. since that they've just got further down hill.
i agree there Hagar that Mario Kart battle is pretty crappy. multiplayer on grandprix is so much better. HA a few months ago i hooked up a projector with my cube and had 4 players on Mario Kart an Smash Bros Melee... funny how a 10 foot screen makes games just that much better
I don't see what makes X-Box so great. I'm not interested in any of the games it has. I mean, military sim games? Who's idea was that?! I don't want to go through the confusion of ordering X troops to X place, and military sims usually have poor framerates, no matter what system they are on. RPGs I am no fan of, because it just doesn't interest me trying to train monsters or your party, and fight random battles (Which aren't all that random). It just gets boring too quick.
The only games that are true video games are the arcade/action games. So what if they say that GC games are kiddy games? They're not. They're just games that you can pick up and play easily without having to know what element type is effective to what type, and any of that other crap.
Not one game on the GC I have played has a bad framerate, except for Conflict: Desert Storm, but I don't give a shoe about those type of games.
Edit: I'd also like to include that although you guys may brag about X-Box's nVidia card, you have missed the icon on the GameCube that says "Powered by ATI". ATI is a great graphics card developing company, with many exclusive technologies you don't get with an nVidia card, like TruForm, which can take low-poly models, convert them into high-poly models, and then refresh the screen, reducing the amount of slow-downs in any game that uses this technology.

This is getting sad really, This thread alone goes to show how much disrespect you guys have for the other consoles and their owners. Instead of badgering each console, and going on and on about the bad points, why not try and get along, and discuss the real importance of console gaming..
The people who mock other consoles should be shot ladies and gentlemen, because their own console has just about as many faults as any of the others, they just forget to bring them up in the so called "War"
ADMINISTRATORS!!! Plz close this topic! And by the way, ONLY good machine is a computer with Mandrake Linux 10.0 Community, 2.5 ghz prosessor and an ATI Radeon 9700 video card......test Vice City o it and see that its the best computer!

No, it isn't. The fastest computer would be one that has 3.0 GhZ and an ATI Radeon 9800 XT. Not that I know anyone with these specs, but at least I know about the 9800.

lol ive got a laptop with a 3.2ghz HT Pentium 4 and a Geforce Go6700 bundled with 1024mb DDR ram... ok its running XP but it flies through everything at crazily high framerates. but i dont like modern PC games; too many war FPS's and strategy stuff.
anywho, why are we arguing when we all like games?
I like nintendo personally, especially for Castlevania. Id have to say that if they made a 3 stooges video game, i would definately try it. It would be like Mortal Kombat but with Curly, Moe, and the other guy. Doesnt that sound interesting? Curly given the "COME OVER HERE" attack from scorpion would be hilarious!
Games currently in "the works":
Moonrise
My Fantasy (dieing dream)
Shadowed Sunset (this one will be cool)
Dragon Riders (Newer, better animated, cooler, and less gradient version!)

As a Nintendo fan, I'd say that Nintendo is evil. But Sega wanted to be evil, Microsoft is just as evil, and Sony is even more evil. That doesn't give me very good choices.
Nintendo
Pros:
Shigeru Miyamoto
Almost invented the Internet (Nintendo network actually. Nintendo was planning to sell floppy disk drives, allow kids to download games through the phone line and put them on floppy disk to play online with other kids. Creates high phone bill. This was all in 1989)
Only good 1st party developer
More games very good and above.
Cheapest
Most bent on quality control
Created the revolutionary "Laser Clay" laser operated clay pigeon shooting system in the 60's
Most resilient (survived longest) of the three.
Disks fit in pocket
Most Travel-Enabled
Cons:
Most inexperienced president
Least games
Not good online
Least power
Least game size
Disks hard to carry in traditional CD case.
Cut off supply to stores that discounted games or systems by even as little as 6 cents.
I say that the pros far outway the cons. Gamecube has enough very good games that I don't need to settle for good games.
Darmani the strong, Darmani the brave, Darmani the.......................idiot who fell off a cliff!
You guys obviously are casual gamers. At least a lot of people on this topic. Do you know the difference between 1st, 2nd and 3rd party developers? The fact that Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft only give the 3rd party developers permission to put games on their consoles?
Oh yeah, The Three Stooges game is VERY old. Like Amiga old.
By the way, Gamecube is my choice. I have like, 38 games for it, plus the Game Boy Player, thats another 37 right there. Not to mention its very portable, I dont care for the lack of DVD functions, I already have like 2 or 3 of them. CDs? A CD player is like $20 or something.
Oh, Nintendo has an eye toy of their own. The *Ahem* Game Boy Camera
aw man dont mention GB Camera i saved loads of pics during a holiday years ago but my brother drew over them
anyways forgetting the new consoles; my all time fave is probably the Amiga. Probably for no reason other than i had one when i was 4 and still use it to this date 14 years later.
My xbox (chipped) has an excellent DVD player built into a new dashboard and CD player? PC did all that back in 92
ive been playing ninty games since someone in my family bought a nes... well a little after as i was about 2 at the time, i was raised on the nes and master system, and an atari. i always prefered mario to sonic, but thats cos i prefer platform to action. ive had every console since, cept the visual boy (baned here for its headache inducing screen) and the gb colour cos i didnt have any money for its duration. Ihave got about 20 games on each but 25 on my gc. i admit that some games are worsebut that always happens, and i dont know anyone who has made only good games for the entire duration of their life. i know i havent.
i tend not to say bad things about the ps2, cept i dont like the controler nearly as much as the gc one. this is cos i like the ps2, its got good hardware and i like the games that are on there. but there are no 1st party ones are there?
i dont really like the xbox mainly cos i have only played on one a few times but was disapointed each time. not much to base it on but still.
and like everyone else says, there are those crappy 3rd party games on every console, bt they have always been there and why? cos they sell.
Vive ninty, *applause*
btw: they invented the following: D-pad, analogue sticks, shoulder buttons rumble packs, the platform game genre, inter console connectivity, that cool phoneline game download (on the jap nes). consoles with disks, they helped square continue to exist (where do you think FF1-6 plus FFA FFL1-3 and loads of others were fools!) and of course who can forget (if they remember) R.O.B. The robot?
Twas brillig, and the slivey toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe,
All mimsy were the borogroves,
And the momewraths outgrabe.
yea they invented a lot of things (which i already said ) they also had a satellite game download thing for the SNES back in 93... technically speaking Sony and Microsoft are just copying Nintendo. they also invented the first 3D adventure game (Mario 64)
