i own a mac, i'm not tied down by any single platform! though I must say, TDC looks like crap on the mac version of IE.. but flash and photoshop run so smooth
i prefer photoshop and flash on windows, you can right click for a start. what is with crtl click. and apple + z i just can't get used to, what happened to crtl + z.
macs are shit, i know i have to use them 5 days a week.
Macs kick arse, when will you guys ever learn. They have the best computer in the world for a start, PowerMac G5, and they are the best for video editing and... well everything... Check them out and make the change.
True, they are the best machines in the world for video editing, and even sound editing. But they suck for everything else. If you want a gaming machine, standard office machine, or internet machine (or all three), PC's are the way to go.
[EDIT] And the reason for this is sheer compatibility. You can't argue with that.
The only good thing MAC is good for, is sound, other then that, its pretty much useless. Where Window's on the other hand has is more then just a pretty face, it is actually useful! =-O Not to mention the fact that Window's is so much easyer to get around. (Might just be because Windows was the first system I actually attapted too though.) So basicly, who needs MMF to work on MAC, MAX sux.
Rick: The reason for it is healthy competition. Anyone can make an IBM-compatible machine, but apple are assholes. Hey, who remembers when macs were almost dead? Then, a new marketing campaign targeted at people who are impressed by pretty colours, and they're back all of a sudden.
Edwin: Oh dear, the Power Mac G5. According to apple it's the best home computer in the world. According to anyone with half a brain there is no 'best' computer. The top-of-the-line G5 has dual 2.5Ghz CPUs. WOW. AMAZING. My retarded sister could install two chips. Two 3Ghz chips. And liquid cooling, if you think that's special. Apple's benchmarks put it above intel machines, but I've seen other runs that place it far below. It all depends on the software (as we all know, macs are great at office stuff, shite at everything else, whereas IBMs are good at everything). If I wanted the 'best computer in the world,' I'd build it myself. And it sure as fuck wouldn't be a mac.
...and the best computer in the world will never be commercial at the time it is the best. By the time it reaches commercial status, there's a better one.
