I played puzzle quest 2 and liked it alot so i made my version of it. My game is endless and goes up too 200 levels with a difficulty starts with easy and goes up in a curve "instead of just plus 1."
This game has taken long time to make I have now a good understadning of making a 3 match puzzle and an ai too so you can play agianst.
About the game.
You start with selecting between warrior, archer or mage. All got diffrent skillsets. while you level up by defeating monsters you puzzle against, you get hold of more items, gold and skills.
ive played mostly with mage. Havent put so much balancing in testing. first step make the game work. and fine tune it later.
But for me the game isnt so super fun I want more. So i decided to just sit down and write a game design document and it helped.
New ideas of balancing and items in work.
The screenshoots are low res my plan is to make the game Full HD
Might buy artworks for it becouse artwork takes time away from creating the game.
My first saved version of this game is 2023-06-20 been working on it on and off for half a year.

Im not satesfied with the game needs more. I've started making new grafics for HD resolution, and balacning it up with an game design document witch will need to remake items.
Bought music from my coworker who made special music for this game.

Ive started developing my puzzle game into online multiplayer. Today i made so you can login with your user info "username password" Select your cahracter.
After that you come into lobby where you can create a game and wait for player to join or if you join an existing player whos created a game.
And it works! This has taken me a around a week todo, on and off.
My plan is to make players play agianst eachother and after a match get loot and gold. same randomness on the item loot for both players winner and loser. But the winner gains some kind of victory points that I havent figured out yet how it will work. Maybe somekind of ranking system. Need to think about it.

Need dedicated artist. What i need is characters with clothing weapons and items. I was thinking If we have a base character model from the front, we can have seperate weapons and clothing added afterwards the more you progress. every item is a seperate picture with alhpa channels witch will be added ontop the character image.
This character is static. but something like this. Adding clothing as a seperate image above to make it more dynamic and fun.
old puzzle champions was finnished just need to convert it into multiplayer. only pvp at the moment no pve at the moment. This is an ongoing project.
