Presentation:

AndyUK's Li'l Pirate is a game that will certainly go nicely on my favourite Retro Games shelf for a while... that is until something knocks it off.

With many levels and a long game play experience it was certaintly worth the wait.

When i first started the game it got kinda repetitive, but you have to give it a chance to understand how damn good it can get.

8+: the game i nicely presented as an adorable platformer, along with the adorable character.

-2: You need to give it a chance so that you actually play it through

Gameplay: The jumping around and kicking weird monsters butts is fun after how much they start to get on your nerves. There are many collectables like Weapons and Upgrades to help you get through the game. The Shops in some level make the game easier to progress through, but of course nothing is free, you need to collect a lot of coins to pay for them, because if you rob Buzz the Squirrel he might stomp on ya!:O (Not literally) There are a few secret stages in the game to gather many more coins and 1up's. There are a bit too many spikes in the game, BUT luckily in the last level of the game Andy was nice enough to leave a 1up in an area should you keep getting pwned by those god damn spinning spike balls. +9: LOTS of collectables, secret areas to find and plenty of levels to charge through. -1: Its a tad difficult and takes some time to get used to, give it time and it will become easier.

Graphics: Nice retro style graphics which is what i love in platformer games, they just seem to go well. The backgrounds were nice, i actually got pwned a few times because i couldn't take my eyes off them.XD There was just 1 graphical concern i had, in the last area which is the dragons tower, the platforms weren't too well worked on and the background could've been a lot better. +7: Cool retro style graphics, it reminds me of a few classics like Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros 3. -3: The backgrounds and platforms in the dragons tower needed more work.

Sound/Music: The music fitted really well with the game, from start to finish the music was always great to listen to. The boss music made it quite kicking boss butt more fun. And the Final Boss music was Epic, i would've stopped playing the game if it was the same boss music as before. The sounds went nicely with all the actions in the game such as Collecting Coins and other stuff like that, i see no reason to deduct rate points. +10: Music was great and so were the sounds -0: I see no reason to deduct stars from the rating.

Lastability: Once you complete Li'l Pirate there isn't any reason to play it again unfortunatly. There are 2 reasons for this: 1. The game became too difficult in some places making me not want to go through it again 2. There weren't any special items or places to find, but anything special that needs requirements to unlick would've been nice. The game does make you want to complete it even when you give up, its like an addiction, but the addiction ends once its over. 4+: It hooks you in until you beat it, then it lets you go peacefully -6: Not enough to do to want to make you go through it again to find cool secrets or shortcuts.

Overall: With a lots of levels, sweet music and pure awesome retro style graphics in most of the levels, Li'l Pirate was DEFINETLY worth the wait. Sure it could've had more to it but thats entirely upto Andy.;) I hope to see more games from Andy soon, good job mate and keep it up!
