The Daily Click ::. Downloads ::. Review Review: Watkins
Watkins is a very enjoyable game, but let's break it down a bit, shall we? GAMEPLAY: It's a bit like dating a more-than-ample woman with a weight problem. (Being a semi-ample woman with no weight problem, I cannot identify). It has both ups and downs. Some of the ups? It's a fun game. The gameplay is very original and fun. Problems? Too often, you'll climb up a hill or jump up and be shot by a moose with a bazooka who you either had no idea was there or who you knew was there, but you couldn't shoot because he was off-screen, although he could still shoot. Still, it's a fun game. Just make sure you save a lot. PRESENTATION: All of the graphics fit in fine, even though some are a bit bland. The sounds themselves are humourous, but they also fit in with the game's mood. The music, however, sounds like it was lifted straight off of "Lemmings" or something. All in all, though, a professional feel. (Except for those damn bazooka moose who always manage to kill you no matter what... lots of that) LASTABILITY: The snowflakes add a lot of replayability, as do repeatable levels. Levels do get old after a while, but you don't have to play them more than once if you don't want to. OVERALL: The game's not PERFECT, but no game really is. I'm not comparing it to anything, and on its own, Watkins is a really fun game. I'd suggest you download it.
