Introduction

Some how or another this game automatically appeals to my whilst I play it because it is very similar to my first game I made with TGF, Skimish...yes I was young and couldn't spell. Basically Skimish was a one-on-one platform deathmatch game with powerups and endless, pointless wasting of your friend sitting beside you. What makes Yeah Guys Ultra appealing to me is it keeps that fun formula, but takes it to another level, with better graphics, gameplay and just a more professional deal.

Gameplay
This is what the game is really about. It's got fast pace and keeps you on your toes (not literally). There's you typical one-on-one situations, where you can play a friend, or what I like, is the computer opponent. The computer opponent is really a mixed bag. On some levels it is a devil incarnate and on others it's like swatting wingless flys! It's not a bad thing, although it really seems at times that the computer opponent does seem to just be a brainless computer, not moving or anything, probably could improve a bit, but not much to complain about...worthy challenge.
As far as extra's to the game go, the bazooka (or rocket launcher thingy) makes a good addition to some levels...like the BGF in Quake 2&3 or Redeemer in Unreal Tournament. More things like this would make the game very playable indeed.
There's really not much to fault in playing the game...it's quite solid!

Presentation
There's not alot I can really say with the general presentation of the game. Quite well done and spotless, maybe a few little graphically glitches in the game, but nothing terribly wrong.
Music and sound seems solid. Not spectacular, but there's hardly a Click game around with 'spectuacular' sound. So no quibles either...
Generally good, enough said!

Lastability
Already I have expressed a guiniune likeness for the game, so basically there's not alot that would keep me from playing it over and over. The main thing I like about it is that it's the type of game without an ending, which makes it empty in one sense, yet gives endless replay value in another with multiplayer and all.
One thing that make is stand out, I think, is the number of levels. Many and varied keeps the challenges coming, even though the computer opponent isn't in all of them. Although, this brings me to a set back, which could make oh so much better, having online and serial type multiplayer.
Definately worth playing several times still.

Conclusion
Yeah Guys Ultra is a great game because it's fun, fasted paced one-on-one action, and crafty computer opponent. It is definately worth a go for any action platformer fan who wants to prove something to a friend. There is little wrong with it, although adding more to it, eg online multplayer and more pickups, would make it untouchable.

You should be proud of your work Ash!
