====INTRO====

Welcome to the beach!!
It's summer, so what better time to play beach volley?
Come on, get ready for the tourney!
Choose one of the 20 idiots and win 8 matches around the world, in different physical conditions, for the final prize...
Every time you win the tourney you should unlock one of the 5 secret players!
You should also play with friends and strike them till death!!
NOTE: everytime you win a match you gain a "continue", up to 3 max.

====CONTROLS====

1p:
Arrow keys = WALK
Shift = JUMP
Ctrl + Direction = DIVE
Ctrl while jumping = SMASH

2p:
A,D = WALK
U = JUMP
Y + A or D = DIVE
U while jumping = SMASH

P = PAUSE

You can HOLD CTRL while jumping to charge the slam! When you touch the ball it will be released.
HOLD DIRECTION KEYS when you hit the ball for give direction
(ex: down+right for a diagonal slam, right for straight, up for lob.)

Is the stuff into this game all original? 99% yes. I took and edited a couple of sprites from emulators and a couple of midis from the web. All the rest was totally done by the game team.
It's a community project: it has been developed by the Click Italian Software community members (at least some of them). So, they are also the characters.
This game took a long time during 4 years of discontinuos and problematic work to be done. So, please don't look at the little glitches or bugs... after 4 years, I was tired of watching it always "in progress", and I decided to pull it out. So, no complaints, because hey, it is a freeware!

The graphics are brilliant but the movement is clunky and the ball always seems to get stuck on the edge of the screen. Apart from that its great, and its clear alot of effort went into it.

Same as above, I sucked at it

. Very well made but the only thing I didn't like was the screen that popped up everytime a player scored, you could really just have the text on the same screen as the volley ball match

I really liked it. Reminded me of the old Volley game with the two ball shaped characters which played a bit simpler than this.
The controls were easy to get into and the graphics were nice. It was pretty easy to come up with winning strategies especially when you had the serve. The only level I had a problem with was the sand level cuz that whirlwind showed up all the time and the ball always ended up going my way which was pretty unfair

.

I give this game 4/5. There were some bugs with the ball going through the character sometimes and if you scored close to the net then the points were sometimes given to the wrong player.

Great game, and first successful example of "community game" I've actually seen. It takes a bit to master the controls , but afterwards it's great fun.

I like this game very much Beppo. Is there any chance that you could make a part 2 with more advanced features ? ..

Here's an idea: you could combine the style you have already, with vertical hex squares, so the character would have more than just one line to play on, and have some sort of indication, maybe a color of energy on the ball or something, as to which movement line he's gonna hit it onto, then there'd be the shadow of the ball as well, (maybe even make that a certain color) ...
Could have maybe 3 lines: Green at the top, Yellow for the middle line, and Red for the bottom line.

What do ya think ? ... the vertical movements could sorta snap the character to the line, use the up and down arrows to switch through the line you are on. ... and the computer opponent could move the same as he did in this one really if ya wanted to just leave him that way, it'd still work out really well.

No, i mean... thank you for the comments and ideas, but as you could imagine i'm totally tired of this game, right now and for the next 200 years

. It was a bit hard to be done. Nontheless, i think this should be my last game, so peace. Thanks to everybody who leave comments and ratings, to everyone who enjoyed it and also who hated it... in the end, it was satisfating.
