Original Release Date: 1997
Open-Source .GAM file included!

Welcome to Destruction Carnival! As Super-Agent D.S. Troy, your mission is to battle your way through Amadeus' contest and then defeat the evil warlord himself. The game is separated into three stages, each containing 4 waves of enemies and a boss character.

There is also a bonus stage after the first and second boss encounters, which gives you the chance to earn a 1-UP. The waves steadily increase in difficulty, introducing new enemies and bringing them on in greater numbers.

Destruction Carnival is a game similar in style to Smash TV and Robotron, with enemies galore, fantastic explosions, blood, frantic action and enormous bosses..

So much work went into the production of this - well over 10 years ago - that if it were released NOW, it would compete with Knytt Stories and Lyle for the top spot. I played this so much that the music from Axelay didn't remind me of Axelay anymore.

My favorite klik game, still.

I'd heard it mentioned a lot as a "Klik classic", but never actually played it 'til now.
Definitely lives up to the hype though

Anyone know a similar Klik game, set in a castle, with dragons and (I think skeletons), but with futuristic weapons and like cryo-chamber things? It came free on a magazine coverdisc years ago and was really good. Unfortunately I lost the disc, and now can't find the game anywhere. I think it might have been called "Castle of Doom" or something vaguely like that?

This was (is) such a phenomonal game. There were so many Klik games that came out after this that borrowed graphics, code, and ideas that I couldn't count them all. Hats off to these guys for this TRUE "Klik Classic."

EDIT: Hey Rikus, can we include the .GAM file with this download. It would be nice for folks to see the source code for this one.

I first played this game off of one of those 500 games in one CD I bought at radio shack. It was funny because I didn't know anything this great was possible with KnP. I popped it open in KnP and I couldn't understand any of the code back then. Good Times.

This game is awesome. It's got a story, humour and action. This is way better than Knytt Stories, Nim.

Amazing game, and so damned hard. I had to edit it and give myself a ton of lives to beat it, and I still lost like 50 lives by the end

Decent game, I found it a bit tedious and uninteresting though.
