SILVER KATANA is a beat them up made with TGF
Is the game i created before LOST VALLEY in 2001.It's inspired from the arcade classic GOLDEN AXE.

it's a game in fake 3D and the engine is very complex.
it can be played with a joypad.(you can choose that only at start go at --option--joueurs--and click joystick 1)

The evil daimyo entered the emperor castle.You are the general KAEDE and the shogun gave you the mission to reach
the castle in order to defeat daimyo.you can make deadly combo attacks on ennemies,powerfull magics,you can throw ennemies (sometimes in holes).You also have a CRITICAL SWORD ATTACK, hard to use but with a great destructive power.

look the little read me for the commands.

IMPORTANT: the game is windowed and streched it can be very slow in some computers . If you do alt+enter the game will run on full screen and the speed will become normal.

No, he isn't. It's just a trick to fool you. By the way, if the guy is wearing a samurai cloth, why is the game's name Silver Katana? I mean, aren't katanas ninja weapons or something?

Im not sure why its called Silver Katana.. as most Katanas are silver... the blade anyway.. so ermm.. i dunnoo.. anyway.. im not downloading.. since ive played this game many many times before.. so erm... yah... its fun though.. Using sprites from Sengoku on the NeoGeo

Well, it's unfortunate that this game is nowhere near the quality of lost valley. I'm still wasting time on that one, but after a few minutes with this I was glad to remove it from my system. It's a shame, too, because this style of game is a lot of fun. Even on my system (AMD 2100+, 1 GB RAM, 128 MB video card), the game ran way too slow. Lack of joystick support (at least, I couldn't turn it on) was kind of disappointing too. I will say this, though, I admire anyone who can rip graphics and put them together in ways to make new levels and such. I know I'm completely lost when I try and design levels with a tileset I didn't come up with. Nice try, and I look forward to seeing some of your completely original work. And the people that keep ripping on ripped graphics (pun completely intended), give it up. If the game's good, who cares where the graphics came from. Personally, I can't draw, so I'd rather use something that looks halfway decent than my stick figure renderings. That is, of course, when I finally get around to making a game.

This is a very good game, I think it's one of the better beat 'em ups made here. The engine is solid, and it's pretty fun to play. The only problems I can see are the lack of a continue system and that the game crashed on the fourth level for me. Other than that though, this is definitely something worth playing.

this is an alright game but the original is better and by the way with the golden axe thing with a "play on words" that isn't a propper example or should i say its not a play on words.

fake 3d... right. and what about the so called complex engine? And don't forget the ripped off sprites (but anyone does that from time to time ;) ) Nice game, 2 bad you've got all these flaws in it. Remake?
