Climate Change - FOR THE WIN!

So... I had a dream about a game about a week ago. It seemed cool idea even after I woke up so I decided to make it.

1. Story
2. Keys
3. Playing
4. Bugs
5. Thanks
6. Apologies

1. Story

In near future a nature association called THOC ("The Heat Of Change") held a conference meeting about the problems of the Global Warming. They called all the leaders of the world's leading countries to debate the actions that should be taken to finally stop the Climate change. However when all the leaders had come to the meeting, THOC spread sleeping gas to the conference room and kidnapped all the leaders. THOC thought they were all responsible for the Global Warming, so they put the leaders on a large ice floe to think about correct actions and to choose amongst them the one person that would help to change the world. Rest of them would be left there.

Now it's time to choose... and the choosing is expected to be rapid and violent as the ice floe keeps melting all the time.

Anyways, you get to be a one of the world's leaders in this game. Isn't that cool

2. Keys
red player
----------
arrows to move
shift to throw salt

green player
------------
WSAD to move
tab to throw salt

orange player
-------------
IKJL to move
B to throw salt

blue player
-----------
Joystick 1
button 1 to throw salt

yellow player
-----------
Joystick 2
button 1 to throw salt

lila player
-----------
Joystick 3
button 1 to throw salt

black player
------------
Computer controlled

3. Playing
- Try to avoid getting into the water. Even if it can melt the ice floe, it's freezing cold and you'll most likely sink like a rock.
- Try to get the other players into the water.
- Your only usable items are the bags of salt that came with your last meal. You can throw them on the ice, but what good would that do?
- If you stand on a thin part of ice or too near to the edge, the ice will break under your feet, causing the water spurt up on the floe and speed up the melting.
- The point of the game is to compete with your friends
- Computer player AI sucks bull's butt so it's not much of a challenge

4. Bugs
Known
- Sliderbars don't work in full screen mode
- Collisions bug sometimes

Fixed
- Reported random crash at end of the round

5.Thanks
- To Professor Sun for the idea of story
- To my dream where I saw this game =D
- To my girlfriend for for the patience... and playtesting.
- To Rayven for playtesting

6. Apologies
- To anyone who might get offended about this. It wasn't meant to.

you do know that if you run in to each other you will fly all over the screen, and the game crashes after I press replay.. but really nice idea and controls ! couldnt get the "throw salt" to work though

After the countdown you can throw salt and it weakens the ice after couple of seconds... then if you step on it, the ice breaks. I'll try to hunt down the damn bugs... I made that in HWA, so it might be causing the crashes...

it would also be nice with an AI =

Okay, now the download has both the HWA and non-HWA exes... HWA seems to crash even if its the same code =\

Pretty big slowdown after game has begun, but very cool idea! But I would rename so it doesn't have any relation with the provocative issue.

Oh, why didn't anyone tell me there was a new version oh HWA? I compiled it with that and got rid of crashes and graphical bugs = )

Nice game, would be more fun if you included more than one AI , and they all battled it out!

I didn't experience any problems at all; it ran full speed the whole time.
