BSOD is a simple program I made just for fun.
Enter the application and a fake blue screen of death will appear, and press enter will shutdown your pc so be carefull.

It's meant to be used as a prank so use it wisely.

WOW! Why did you make this? Did you have to write everything down during a real BSOD because im pretty sure prnt screen wouldn't work then :\

Microsoft (I think, because I found it on their site) has published a screensaver of BSOD that actually picks a random driver and generate random errors. It also shows the restart animation after a few minutes and makes fake disk reading to make the computer generate noise.

Reno - There's screenshots on the web of a BSOD, so he wouldn't need to type one out

Yeah X-Sheep is right there's lots of bsod screens all over the internet.

Actually, sysinternals made that, but it's on Microsoft's site. I put it on school computers when I'm bored.

BSODs on my PC tend to stick around for <1 second, then the system reboots.

Posted by Johnny Look 15th September, 2007

Yeah I know but it would turn the prank less funny.
Imagine the following:
You cause this bsod in a classmate's PC, he calls the teacher, and while they both start looking at the screen looking for a solution you are laughing your ass off.
This wouldn't happen if the pc automaticly rebooted after a couple seconds.

sheep - I didnt even think of that

What do people have against the BSOD?

People doesn't understand what art is.

"What do people have against the BSOD?"

LOL!!! quality

"What do people have against the BSOD?"

The fact that it means your computer crashed and you HAVE to reboot.

Posted by LIJI 16th September, 2007

Because BSODs means "Bad stuff happened, everything your made is lost, there's a chance you will have to reinstall Windows (And if you can't you will pay moneys) and there's a chance your hard disk exploded."

I got the BSOD before and everything was fine. Data was saved, hard drive was intact...

I'm a survivor.

"there's a chance you will have to reinstall Windows"

Not necessarily. It just means there was a critical hardware error (whether it's permanent or because of it not being able to handle an application are different things). It happens when I plug in my external (firewire) HDD, hibernate my PC, remove teh HDD and turn the PC back on.

Sometimes it does means that you have to reinstall Windows.
It happened to me once, Windows BSoDed whenever it tried to boot.
I reinstalled it (But without reformatting, 'cuz I'm awesome.)

I get BSoDs all the time and I just hit the reset button on my case and im fine!

Windows 9x BSOD's are completely different.

Posted by LIJI 18th September, 2007

I voted thumbs up without downloading because I know what it'll be like.
Also voted for GoTW!

It isn't that good. One static screen with the ability to reboot.
