Sway Hop by Euingee
Sway Hop Hop and sway past the hammers to collect gems in this first submission to The Daily Click by new member Euingee. Welcome to The Daily Click! This games reminds me of the sort of short simple games you used to find at the V-Cade, but with more Flash-like graphics. It is kind of like Flappy Bird but without the scrolling and randomness. Its vertical view and simple controls reflect the fact it is available not just for Windows, but also on the Apple App Store.
Comments from the Author:
“Challenge your reflexes with some insane dodging! It's simple-hop around and collect gems! The more points you rack up, the better the medals you'll earn. Just make sure not to get hit by the hammers or fall off the screen!”

Libu the Ghost by HTX Games
Snails vs Aliens develoeper HTX Games has brought us a ghost-themed platform game made in Game Maker 8.1. The jumping feels a bit weightless, which fits the ghostly theme. Is it Halloween already?
Comments from the Author:
“Libu the Ghost is a classic 2D jump n run. You have to save ghostland from the evil king Dread. Jump and run through 16 levels with 17 different enemies and 5 epic boss battles. Graphics and sounds are create by my own. Have fun!.”

Stardash DEMO by Dannimax and fixed GOTW entries |
News posted 11th June, 2025 by Joshtek

This time we have some new games and a bit of GOTW nostalgia.
Stardash DEMO by Dannimáx
Dannimáx, the author that gave us COINS, Shoot & Dodge, and Unavoidable Flying Objects is back with Stardash DEMO. This game is a platformer where you jump, dash and defeat enemies. In an unusual twist (or not so unusual for those who played BigAl0104 's excellent Super Blocky: Dash Sector) you are always moving forwards until you hit a reverse movement block. Who needs double jump when you can jump and do a mid-air slide? A fun game with some stylistic 3D pre-rendered graphics, but certainly no walk in the park!

Comments from the Author:
"The world's factories have been hijacked to create mindless machines. It is up to you to get to the core of it all to stop it as quickly as possible, who knows what might happen if you don't.
Jump, Dash, and defeat enemies; collect stars along the way to increase your speed. Time is of the essence.
I have been working on this demo for longer than I have any other game of mine, this game is easily my most ambitious so far, I hope it shows."

Clickteam Patreon: The Evil Inside interview
Over on the Clickteam Patreon is a text-based interview with developer Danny Boyd about their CF2.5 game The Evil Inside available to purchase now on Steam and itch.io.
All GOTW links should now work or be labelled
Working on my own and with Manabomb I've now gone through all the old Game of the Week games and where possible I've fixed the links and where not I have marked them as LOST_MEDIA. When the project begun around 113 of the 383 GOTW games had fully functional links (i.e. 30% of the total). Now that has risen to around 291 (i.e. 76% of the total). Of the games which are not on The Daily Click, around half are on Kliktopia but are no longer listed on TDC because they were deleted at some point and the other half are lost media. You can search for which remaining games are considered lost media using The Daily Click's search facility and search for: LOST_MEDIA. If you have one of these games then please let us know!
As part of finishing this process 17 games were added to Kliktopia.

Puzzle champions by LordHannu
Check out this new game from LordHannu (full disclosure: I did some beta testing for it). Explore the dungeon and encounter foes who you can challenge to a puzzle duel. Match 3+ items to collect resources which you can then spend on spells to attack your enemy.

Comments from the Author: "Puzzle champions is a 3 match puzzle game where you go against foes and puzzle your way to victory. When you win there is a chance to get loot. Every 10 levels you meet a boss."

Clickteam post about Fusion3's Frame Inheritance

Learn about how CF2.5's 'include another frame' option has been improved and reworked into Fusion3's shiny new 'Frame Inheritance' system.
Clickteam also posted in response to a question in the comments that "We expect performance to be better across all platforms".

More than a dozen old TDC GOTW games/applications added to Kliktopia (as two of the entries are packs of creations)
You may remember when I revisited the first 5 Game of the Week games back last year.
The work to get old GOTW links working again continues, and as part of this effort (which now also involves Manabomb) I've added around a dozen GOTW winners to Kliktopia.

New puzzle games: Super Blocky: Dash Sector & Balls Collide |
News posted 4th May, 2025 by Joshtek
|

Two familiar Click developers return with their latest freeware offerings.
Super Blocky: Dash Sector by BigAl0104
In this platformer all you can do is jump, but BigAl manages to make much of this simple mechanic in a game available for both PC and Android. When not jumping your character continiously advances until it either falls off the edge or hits a reversal block. With a few simple elements, BigAl can make some fiendishly difficult levels... and they just keep getting harder! How far can you get with your cute little cube? Even if you don't get to the end, you should have fun at beating the levels you are able to get through.
Comments from the Author: "A brand new and familiar arcade-like experience where you play as a cute little block. Put your platforming skills to the test where you must dash and jump through a series of 50 challenging platforming levels, avoid all kinds of obstacles and hazards that will get in your way, reach the goal to proceed, and go for a hi-score!
Collect tokens along the way to unlock certain cosmetics for Blocky as well as a handful of mini-games and other goodies via the in-game shop. Tokens can be acquired while playing the main game and during the final score tally after all levels or when getting a game over.
Are you skilled enough for this? Well you should be! But don't forget to have fun!"

Balls Collide by MinkoedZamorVedro
A very different type of puzzle game here, Balls Collide is a game in the style of the Suika/Watermelon Game that is all about making the right balls collide and keeping like-sized balls close together to maximise such colisions - it really is all in the name. Unlike Suika, the game is based around increasingly difficult levels, with each one completed unlocking the next one (although there is also an unlimited play 'Zen Mode'). Be sure to read the description of the game on TDC, as there is little by way of in-game instructions. However, once you figure it out the rules and controls are pretty straightforward. While lacking polish, it is definitely worth a try. Oh, and this game has the ID 9,500 - pretty neat, huh?

Comments from the Author: "You have to connect balls of the same color, then you will get bigger balls and some score. To drop the ball you just have to click left mouse button (your mouse have to be over the red line). There are 49 levels in this game, each level is completed after getting certain score. Also you have certain amount of lives for each level. You lose one life if you drop the ball while the other ball is located over the red line. After losing all lives your game is over."

Kliktopia has celebrated its 5th anniversary in style, breaking the 4,000 entry threshold by adding 237 games thanks to contributions from Acorino, Alundra, Capitaine Caverne, Dannimáx, Guenter Meister, Joshtek, justaddwater, Leo, Peter, Yoshi50Windows, yxkalle, and Zekium.

Kliktopia has also announced Build 11 of its Kliktopia Uploader, which people can use to send old freeware Klik games to the Kliktopia team. The updated version adds Jamagic game support and allows for more information about games to be added as part of the upload process.

The Kliktopia homepage now also features the KlikSnapper tool by yxkalle which makes it easier to take screenshots of Klik games and have them be saved as screenshot.png in the game folder for uploading to Kliktopia. Note: You may need to set DPI mode to 100% for it to work!

Another duo of games, this time both by re15ster.
Sqdwree by re15ster
This game is not for those with epilepsy - the screenshot reall does not do it justice. It was way too hard for me, but maybe you can do better?

Comments from the Author: "Warning: This game contains many flashing lights. Sqdwree is a short, difficult, and dizzying latformer game. Jump over the spikes and clear the game!"

My Small Town by re15ster
A far calmer experience than Sqdwree.
Comments from the Author: "A short game. Build your own town in this game! Start with a small piece of land and turn it into a bustling town. Build roads, homes, shops, and more as you earn money and expand your city. The more you build, the more your town will come to life"

Fusion3 Blog - Data Types in Fusion3

In March we learned about object types, and now it's April we get to learn about Data Types. All aboard the hype train!
Kliktopia - Cool stuff other than new games
I've taken a bit of time off adding new games to the Kliktopia archive to improve the underylying coding. Latest Kliktopia updates are not new games, but are instead:
- A 'take me to a random game' feature (requested by Manabomb).
- Games now list URLs known to be associated with the game/author (with Internet Archive version of link for games before 2022)
- Plenty of new Klik gameplay videos added to the Kliktopia YouTube channel thanks to justaddwater. We also continue to add content from long-time friend of the archive Ragey0's channel and other channels like The Rarest Gamer from time to time.
Interested in testing the new Kliktopia Uploader? Send me a message via the Kliktopia Discord!

Beat-'em-up, obstacle-avoiding and puzzle games from LordHannu and Günter |

More games from Günter and LordHannu? Yes indeedy - these two developers are on a roll when it comes to TDC submissions! So let's get stuck in....
Gladius the demon slayer by LordHannu
A HTML-based Beat 'Em Up. And what are you beating up? Well, demons of course. Get to the end and secure the highest score in this fun pick-up-and play game with the only distraction being the glorious blood. This game is challenging, but success feels glorious.

Comments from the Author: "Gladius takes a stroll with his armour and sword. Meets a woman standing next to a door, she invites him to enter the door. Will Gladius enter this door can he trust her? Later Gladius gets in deep trouble sudden a turtle has a serious role, what can a turtle do?"
Don't say: What, you can make HTML games in Clickteam Fusion? Why did nobody tell me this?!
Do say: When all you can do is stab, advance and treat then timing becomes king. TL;DR: Stabby stab stab ... *pause* ... *advance* ... and STAB!
Click here to download the application and read its comments
Seawolf by Günter
As 'avoid the obstacle' games has pedigree, being a March 2025 remake of the author's own 1991 Amiga game. .
Comments from the Author: "Skill game... Dive into the underwater caves and traverse them. Collect crystals in the process. The submarine starts automatically. You can only move forwards, upwards and downwards. Your oxygen supply is limited. If you brush against the cave wall or touch thorns, you will lose oxygen. When the oxygen supply is exhausted, your submarine implodes and the game is lost. Can you make it through all 10 levels without destroying your submarine? With Highsocre."
Don't say: Not another Flappy Birth clone! (It predates that game by more than two decades, dude!)
Do say: I'll play this version AND the 1991 original for the full Seawolf experience. Take that, obstacles!

A Nightmare with 1000 Doors by Günter
Ever thought memory games needed more spikes? Well, this is the game for you! Sort of like a top-down 2D version of HetH's The Cube (posted to TDC back in 2002) but with less by way of jump scares

Comments from the Author: "Memory game. You are trapped in a nightmare and can only escape by finding the right path through the thousand doors."
Don't say: If I don't move I can't lose!
Do Say: Having a good memory... is key!

Click news comes in threes, right...
Fusion3
You may be as surprised as me to hear that Clickteam have posted the first of a monthly series of blog posts about Fusion 3... or "Fusion3" as it appears to be officially styled (presumably to make it easier to find on search engines).
We start with a focus on objects. The post starts by stating: "Thank you for your patience, we realize that we have been super slow to communicate progress on Fusion3. The good news is starting today, we will be delivering a new update monthly to you. Please make sure to join our Patreon so you are notified when new blog posts appear there...In Fusion3 objects are very much like what you are used to using in Fusion 2.5 but with a few new exciting exceptions."

Is your interest piqued? Get back on the hype train and read about it here (no subscription required).
(Hat tip to Capitaine Caverne for letting me know about this news!)
Clickteam Spring itch.io sale
It's discount time again. The Clickteam Spring Sale 2025 is running on itch.io through the 20th of March.

New Active Object on Friday offer
To quote @jaytholen: "For Bandcamp Friday I set the price of my new album New Active Object to $2.50 in honor of The Games Factory's 250 object limit. if you like proggy/jazzy art-pop about making games as a youngster you'll dig this"
