Intro:

Gravitroid is a game I created some day a year ago after being bored for a while. Unlike all my other projects, I didn't set out to do something groundbreaking. I built the whole thing just around the tractor beam effect of the cruisers.

The game is very simplistic; You fly around and shoot stuff.
Stuff shoots back at you. Hence the circle of life.

Controls:
Arrow Keys: move in a direction
Mouse: Aim in direction of cursor
Mouse Left Click (hold): Shoot in direction of cursor

Powerups:
1- Gain 100 structure points
2- 200 rounds ion cannon
3- 300 rounds flamethrower

Enemies:
Cruiser: Fire a gravity beam that pulls you towards it.
Shuttle: Fires pulse rounds at you.

Nice, but i would say change the numbers into icons, that would be clearer :) Very good engine and I'm impressed by the fact that this is just TGF. Well done :)

that was a bit frantic! then it crashed. but what i did play was fairly good. but why does the ship move by itself?

Posted by Pixelthief 10th October, 2004

The blue things pull you towards them, which is why it moved on its own. Haven't gotten to crash for me yet.

pretty good. the sound was painful..i don't know if you put that in or it was just glitching but it was like a long screech

Nice game. Too bad you can't really dodge those laser beams.

I don't think you're supposed to be able to. From the look of those screenies it's Warpath-inspired.

Warpath is brilliant. Know where I can download it? I used to have it but I've since lost it to a reformat.
