This is my entry to the 2006 TDC Christmas Competition, Definetly Not A Tanooji Game! Like many others here, I have been increasingly hating my character, tanooji. So, I decided to start this game, named after NOT that character.
This is a grid based game, as that was the prime rule of the competition, other than christmas.

So! You play as Bibin, who is getting a winter(?) job, doing a delivery thingy to kids who's parents don't want to go near them (we call them "weirdos".) Anyway, you are sent to deliver to Evil Kitty, who has sixteen rooms, and crazy spikes and stuff to trip over in each one.

The delivery company has already layed the presents out in each room, so you just have to bring them to Evil Kitty.

There are two control methods:

method 1:
Shift = Jump
Control = Pick up / Drop present
Z or Y = press a direction while holding one of these to turn towards the pressed direction without moving.

method 2:
Z = Jump
X = Pick up / Drop present
Shift or C = press a direction while holding one of these to turn towards the pressed direction without moving.

You can jump over walls with a one-block thickness. To give a present to Evil Kitty, stand on top of him, and press the Pick up / Drop present button. He will then eat the present, because he's weird like that.

you have a time limit each level, which is shown at the top of the screen, along with the level title and remaining presents. If you run out of time, you will lose one life.

When you beat a level, all the leftover time is added to your score.

Along with the time limit, there are some basic obstacles.

The first obstacle are the spikes. These are stationary, but if you move onto them, or jump onto them, you die. You can jump over them however.

The green rubber balls are the same as the spikes, but they move in a straight line and bounce off walls. Hitting these will cause you to have the stupidest death ever of tripping.

After you get a game over, you will submit your score online, then be taken to the sometimes-online-high-score-table.

More help is in the game.

Remember, the only way to score is to finish quickly! More spare time = more scoresss!

I like how the next extra life in line gets scared when the present one 'dies'

Thumbs up.
