I made this for the GOTW "This week" contest. It's what I think a spinoff mario game would have been like on an old 8-bit home computer, complete with 2:1 pixel aspect ratio graphics (hence the "800". It also emulates the "crappy RF cable" feature of early TV's. If the connection gets more suck than before, mash space to fix it.

Try to get as many coins as you can before time runs out.

Z is jump.
X is run.
Arrows move you.
Duck is useless.

I made the title screen music, but the other music is lovingly ripped.

The loud static sound was annoying. The game was weird but kinda fun.

Would be nice if you actually died when you fell off screen...

"crappy RF cable feature"

You mean that silvery box in the back of the Tv that connected via screws and had the UHF / VHF switch? Wow, that brings me back!

I had one of those things for my Intellivison.

Cool idea, but I hated the crappy cable feature and the jerky movement. And why I don't die in this game when hit by an enemy?
