Note that this is not a complete game! It is just a demo with 1 level and 1 boss because I want to know what you think and if I should finish it. Its is a platform shooter including robots, zombies, pirates, aliens, cowboys, cyborgs, indians... so western and retro combined with robots... sounds odd but the steam-boss is sooo cool
P.S. the save option doesnt work atm... sorry!

The engine is pretty solid, not buggy or anything...but I wish I could jump a little farther to the left or right so that it wasn't almost impossible to jump over guys without being hurt.
Also, it'd be nice if the bullets could travel a little farther.
But overall, nice visual design and everything.

I'm Metaphorically picking my nose right now and flicking boogers at your screen shots.

Metaphorically, cause if I did that for real it would mess up my computer screen, also I'm a little bit of a germophobe, so ...

But, yea .. I dunno why, but I don't like your screenies. <shrugs> ..

I'll wait for the Second Demo, after you fix all those things Guru Rinpoche here is talking about.

I played it one time through, and I wont play it again untill there is more. I though the movement was VERY labored. The reload time real sucked This is a great starting point just needs some more stuff, and faster movement, may be higher jumping. Great start to a good looking game. Just needs more stuff. Oh and PLEASE make the game screen larger.

Nice engine and graphics! The little animation that there was seemed to be good.
Screensize seemed to fine to me. I think there is some things that could be improved though.

I think some gun shooting effects might be nice?
Since you have to reload after killing about 1 enemy it might be better to have faster reload times since you have to do it so frequently.
It also feels a little slow paced overall, might be nice to make everything a little bit faster?
You might also like to give the HP and ammo HUD bar things a little more meaning, so that the player doesn't have to guess what they are.

Some more background details could make it a little less dull to look at.
The enemy that shoots bullets appears to be a bit stale and systematic, perhaps it could be a bit more random in shooting? or move around a little bit?

The game was actually quite nice, but I must agree with Rinpoche about those jumps and loading times and slow bullets Your graphics usually make these games a lot better than they would otherwise be.

Im thanking all of you for your tips, I am now going to work on:
The jump distance
Walking speed
HUD Icons
shooting enemy
The second demo will also have 5 suits to wear

Was the boss ok by the way?
Edit: How come the saving option stops working if you export it from TGF1 to MMF2?

Yeah boss was too hard being the first boss, he doesn't seem to be bring his tongue out very much so it can be initially confusing as to how to kill him.

Could be good to have some details like rocks and things as obstacles to jump over or take cover from? As a straight bland path with a mountain in the background is a bit bare.

Also you made the guy at the end of the stage say "resque" instead of "rescue".

Was the boss really that hard? it just takes a bit long before he puts his tongue out...
About the obstacles, the levels after this have floating platforms and obstacles, so thats not a problem.

I've made quite a lot of progress, The character now runs and reloads faster, I've made HUD icons and the enemy shoots randomly now.

Vertigo, I like the idea of different suits...that could make it much more awesome. Different powers for diff. suits, or diff. ammo for diff.

Haha at the moment the suits are just for looks, they dont do anything special... and yeah level 1 is bare, might add some plants etc...

I disliked it. The graphics are, as usual, very good, but this game lacks some action. The first boss is really hard to kill (after an easy first level), jumping is almost useless, as well as the ability to shoot in two directions at the same time.
Try to make more enemies, add some platforms, and maybe allow the player to shoot upwards.

Platformss are added in the second level (after the boss) and the higher the level is, the more enemies will appear. I think im going to weaken the boss so that he isnt too hard...

The graphics are good but like the others said the first boss is hard to kill and the reloading time is too long but it was still fun. I hope you finish this game. Can't wait until the full version comes out!

Ok, since there are so much enthousiastic reactions I am trying to finish the second demo within 2 days, the third level is done but I still need to make the second boss... As I said second demo has faster reloading, weaker boss etc.
